Cats are far more sensitive than dogs. Always start with the highest dilution code listed for any oil. Less is more — when in doubt, dilute more.
Dilution Codes

| A | Neat (no dilution needed) | Apply directly — no FCO needed |
| B | Minimal dilution | 1 drop EO + 1 drop FCO |
| C | Moderate dilution | 1 drop EO + 3 drops FCO |
| D | Heavy dilution | 1 drop EO + 5 drops FCO |
